Title: Having A Cool App Isn’t The Answer: Best Practices for Patient Engagement Technology Adoption
Abstract: New technology solutions are emerging to help drive improved patient engagement. But adoption can be a real challenge. Patients need to be coached on the benefits of using new tools. Technology needs to be easy to use and integrated into a part of the normal clinical workflow for both physicians and nurses. During this session, we will highlight social media and mobile solutions that are being used to engage patients and best practices for driving adoption. Case studies and examples will be used to illustrate the importance of a well-planned roll-out and results tracking.
