Presentation Topics:

In 2019, the HonorHealth Consumer Technology Committee developed a strategy on digital engagement and telehealth. Emily Borlas will share how her organization quickly pivoted to meet this challenge and will provide details of the various telehealth solutions implemented this year as well as the challenges they encountered. She will also give her perspective on how the pandemic created a “new normal” for healthcare delivery in the US and what aspects of telehealth are here to stay.

In 2020, Forbes released its third annual list of the “Best Employers for Diversity” where Mayo Clinic has consistent ranked among the top 20 Hospitals and Health Systems and the top 75 Employers overall. As the need for diversity is greater than ever, Janina Hogans will share how local efforts are contributing towards Mayo Clinic’s organizational commitment to invest $100 million over the next 10 years to eliminate racism, advance equity and inclusion within Mayo Clinic, and improve health equity in the communities Mayo Clinic serves.
